An Evening with Weike Wang to Benefit Hunter College Elementary School

40.00

Spend a fascinating evening with celebrated (and razor-sharp-funny) author Weike Wang, discussing her award-winning novel, Chemistry. Hailed by The Washington Post as “the most assured novel about indecisiveness you'll ever read,” Wang’s debut has won the PEN/Hemingway Award, a Whiting Award, and the National Book Foundation’s 5 Under 35 annual fiction prize. It was named a best book of 2017 by The Washington Post, NPR, Entertainment Weekly, and Ann Patchett on PBS NewsHour, among others. Bonus: It is not necessary to read the book in order to attend, though you’ll be in for a double treat if you do. Hosted by HCES 1-K parents Liz Van Hoose and Lisa Thung. Up to 20 attendees.
